Monte, formerly known as Pędzelek, was an ordinary dog. Medium-sized, with some white and some black spots, a perky bark, and that twinkle in his eye. Like every animal, he wanted only one thing: good people around him, and like every animal, he deserved it. Unfortunately, he wasn't lucky in love. We know he came from a village where he wandered alone and was mistreated. But one day, his fate changed. He was taken to the Animal SOS Association – the Adoption Center of the Psiakowo i Spółka Shelter – a place that helps all dogs and cats in need. From there, it was all downhill. Thanks to a single application, he finally found a loving person.

How to choose that one furry friend
Maja downloaded Psindera Out of curiosity. She had been considering adopting a dog for a long time, but she didn't want to make any rash decisions – after all, it was a very serious matter. Ads with animals waiting for help were popping up everywhere, which was heartbreaking. It would certainly be difficult for any of us to navigate a sea of needy dogs. That's why Psinder turned out to be a bull's-eye. In one place, they gather profiles of animals who weren't lucky enough to end up in shelters. You can quickly and easily contact them about adoption. The app was modeled on the popular Tinder – here, too, you swipe photos left or right and search for your dream partner (in this case, a dog). In addition to browsing adorable photos of the furry creatures, you can read a few words about their personality – because what's most important is what's invisible to the eye. Each dog has a description, including what they like to do, their temperament, and their special traits. Of course, all without any pretense or pretense – you don't have to worry, the photos are authentic, unfiltered, and no one is showing off their million-dollar sheds. These are homely and absolutely unique creatures who just need a little love.

And magic happened. When Maja saw Monte's profile (then still called Pędzelek), she swiped right and almost immediately knew he was the one. Of course, the final decision was carefully considered and took time. After exchanging a few polite messages, they met – and not just anywhere, but at a shelter. In the adoption process, it's crucial to gradually get to know the dog. You need to make sure you're on the same wavelength, whether the animal trusts you, and whether you're ready to welcome a new family member. Dogs, like people, come with their own experiences and come into our lives with their own habits and needs. The trick is to accept them with love. Fortunately, Monte and Maja found common ground and gave each other a chance. After completing all the formalities, they were able to start their life together.
Happy ending
Maja gave Monte the most beautiful gift – his own home full of love. Since moving in with her two months ago, they've been a happy duo. The beginnings weren't easy – Monte, like most shelter animals, had some fears. He was afraid to go through doors, enter rooms, or buildings. But they're working on it together, and the first results are already visible. It's a matter of trust, which they build step by step. After about three weeks, he slowly began to settle into his new home. Despite his difficult experiences, Monte proved very brave – he handled car journeys, his first vet visit, and his first bath with flying colors. Apparently, he comes from the countryside, so city noise, large cars, garbage trucks, and headlights still frighten him, although he also watches TV with curiosity, wondering what these people will come up with. He's also gradually learning to stay home alone – Maja supports him in this by using a camera to monitor him. Monte, though perhaps still a bit shy, has taken over his owners' bedroom – it's where he feels safest, so he's decided that from now on, it's his kingdom. Fortunately, Monte's story turns out to be a romantic comedy with a happy ending – he'll soon be celebrating his fourth birthday with his new parents. And that's what we wish for every pet in the world.
