We are starting a unique campaign in which we will choose one furry hero every month – Furry of the Month! It can be a dog, a cat, a young one, an older one, a purebred, or a mutt – everyone has a chance to shine!

One furry creature per month will win, but… Each submitted photo will find its unique place in our pet gallery! Because every face deserves a moment of shine and a place in our collection of furry delights.

We begin in August and we operate all year round – 12 months, 12 featured furry friends and lots of photos that will make everyone smile!

PETREPUBLIC PET OF THE MONTH Competition Rules

      § 1 GENERAL RULES

  1. The organiser of the competition under the slogan PET REPUBLIC PET MONTH (hereinafter: the Competition) is PetRepublic Spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością with its registered office in Koluszki, at ul. Nasienna 22, 95-040 Koluszki, registered in the register of entrepreneurs maintained by the District Court for Łódź Śródmieście in ŁÓDŹ, XX Commercial Division of the National Court Register under the KRS number: 0000793062, REGON: 383804339, NIP: 5252794166, share capital PLN 2.766.700,00, telephone number +48 22 275 92 10, e-mail: kontakt@petrepublic.pl (hereinafter: "Organiser").
  2. The organizer is the founder of the prizes in the Competition.
  3. The competition is organised in accordance with the principles set out in these regulations (hereinafter referred to as the "Regulations") and in accordance with generally applicable law.
  4. The competition is not a game of chance or a mutual bet within the meaning of the Gambling Act of 19 November 2009 (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2025, item 595). 
  5. The competition is held on the basis of a public promise, in accordance with the provisions of Articles 919-921 of the Act of 23 April 1964, the Civil Code (Journal of Laws of 1964, No. 16, item 93, as amended).

  7. By taking part in the Competition, the Participant accepts these Regulations by completing the competition task consisting in sending via the website https://petrepublic.pl photos of their cats or dogs, or a cat or dog, hereinafter referred to as the "entry." By participating in the Competition, the Participant confirms that they meet all the conditions that entitle them to participate in the Competition.

     

    § 2. DATE AND PLACE OF THE COMPETITION

  1. The competition is held in the territory of the Republic of Poland, on the website: https://petrepublic.pl in the "We do it for them" tab.
  2. The competition is cyclical, with monthly editions lasting a full calendar month and running year-round. Entries can be submitted from the first of the month until the last day of the month at 1:23 PM.

     

    § 3 GENERAL CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION IN THE COMPETITION

  1. The Competition Participant must be an adult natural person with full legal capacity who is a consumer within the meaning of Article 221 k.c., residing in the territory of the Republic of Poland (hereinafter referred to as the "Participant").
  2. Legal entities and organizational units without legal personality are not allowed to participate in the Competition.
  3. Participation in the Competition is free and voluntary. The Organizer will not reimburse any costs that Participants may incur in connection with participating in the Competition.
  4. Competition participants are not entitled to any remuneration for participating in the Competition.


    §
    4 COMPETITION RULES

  1. The Organizer conducts the Competition on the website: https://petrepublic.pl in the "We do it for them" tab. To participate in the Competition, the Participant must share a photo of their pet and complete the form with the following information: pet's name, guardian's name, email address, and then submit the entry.
  2. Participants may submit one photo per month. Participants may participate in subsequent monthly editions.
  3. Completing the Competition Task in accordance with paragraph 1 above constitutes an application for participation in the Competition. 
  4. The Contest Photo must be the sole work of the Entrant and must not infringe upon the rights, personal rights, or copyrights of any third party. The Entry must depict a pet owned by the Entrant.
  5. By submitting an entry to the Competition, the Participant consents to the free publication of the winning photo of the pet on PetRepublic's social media profiles (Facebook, Instagram) and on the website after the end of each month in which the entry was entered.
  6. Entries must not contain images of people.
  7. When participating in the Competition, the Participant is prohibited from providing and publishing content that violates the law or good manners.
  8. Furthermore, the Competition Entry, the Competition Task itself, as well as any activity carried out by the Participant in connection with the Competition may not:
    a) be inconsistent with the purpose of the Organizer's activities, including activities promoting the Organizer's activities;

    b) contain anti-advertisements of the Organizer or advertisements of entities competing with the Organizer;
    c) violate personal rights or any rights or entitlements of the Organizer or third parties or entities;
    d) contain content unrelated to the Competition
    e) bear the characteristics of unsolicited commercial information (SPAM),
    f) cause circumstances that could expose the Organizer to liability towards any third parties or persons, including in particular for the use of the Competition Task. 

  9. A Participant has the right to withdraw from the Competition by submitting a declaration in written form (e.g., an email to the Organizer). A Participant may do so at any time during the Competition. Submitting the declaration referred to in the first sentence constitutes a waiver of the right to the prize. The declaration becomes effective upon the Organizer's review of it.
  10. Competition Entry:
    a). completed after the deadline 
    b). inconsistent with the Regulations (including those made by entities that do not meet the conditions for participation in the Competition), 
    c). for which a declaration of withdrawal has been submitted shall not take part in the Competition.
  1. The proper conduct of the Competition is supervised by an internal committee (hereinafter referred to as the "Committee") appointed by the Organizer, composed of: a. the chairman of the Committee; b. a member of the Committee.
  2. By taking part in the Competition, the Participant confirms that he or she is aware that the winning of the Prize is not determined by chance, but by the Participant's action.
  3. The competition jury appointed by the Organizer selects the winning photo each month, based on a subjective assessment of: originality, aesthetics, emotional message and compliance with the values of the Pet Republic brand.


    § 5 PRIZES

  1. From among all entries submitted in a given month, the winner will be selected by a Competition Jury composed of two representatives of the Organizer.
  2. The prize for the winner each month is a surprise package with Pet Republic products.
  3. The prize cannot be exchanged for cash or any other prize.
  4. The Participant will be informed about the victory by e-mail.
  5. Within 7 days of receiving information about winning, the Participant should provide the Organizer with the details for shipping the prize.
  6. Failure to provide data within the deadline will result in loss of the right to the prize.
  7. The prize will be sent to the address provided by the Participant.
  8. The right to participate in the Competition, as well as the rights and obligations associated with it, including the right to claim a prize, is non-transferable. The prize cannot be exchanged for another prize or for its cash equivalent.
  9. The Organizer is not responsible for the accuracy and truthfulness of the data of the Competition Participants, including the impossibility of transferring the prizes for reasons attributable to the Participant.

      § 6 PARTICIPANT'S DECLARATIONS

  1. The Participant and Winner of the Competition declare that: 
    a). is the sole author of the Competition Task and holds full copyrights to it, 
    b). third parties have no rights or claims to the Competition Task,
    c). The Competition Task does not constitute a borrowing or adaptation of another work within the meaning of the Act of 4 February 1994 on copyright and related rights (Journal of Laws of 2006, No. 90, item 613, consolidated text), 
    d). The Competition Task does not infringe any protective rights within the meaning of the Act of 30 June 2000 (Journal of Laws of 2017, No. 776, i.e. of 2017.04.13/XNUMX/XNUMX) Industrial Property Law, 
    e). The Competition Task does not infringe any rights of third parties,
    f). there are no other circumstances that could expose the Organizer to liability towards third parties for the use of the Competition Task,
    g). the photo has not been and will not be entered into any other competitions, promotions or promotional or advertising activities.
  2. If the statements referred to in paragraph 1 above prove to be untrue in part or in whole, the Participant loses the right to the prize, and in the event that third parties make claims against the Organizer for infringement of their rights, the Participant undertakes to indemnify them from liability and cover any damage incurred by the Organizer in connection therewith.


    § 7 COMPLAINT PROCEDURE

  1. Each Participant has the right to lodge a complaint regarding non-compliance of the Competition with these Regulations, which may be submitted in writing under pain of nullity to the following address: PetRepublic Spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością with its registered office in Koluszki, ul. Nasienna 22, 95-040 Koluszki or by e-mail to the e-mail address of the Organizer, i.e. dagmara.slodkiewicz@petrepublic.pl 
  2. The complaint should include: the name, surname, address of the entity submitting the complaint, telephone number and e-mail address, as well as a detailed description and reason for the complaint.
  3. The Organizer will consider the complaint immediately, no later than within 14 (fourteen) days from the date of its receipt.
  4. The Organizer will inform the complainant about the consideration of the complaint within the above-mentioned deadline in writing or by e-mail to the address provided in the complaint.
  5. The Participant may use out-of-court complaint and redress procedures in accordance with the principles set out at www.uokik.gov.pl in the "Resolution of consumer disputes" tab. In particular, the Participant may:
    a). obtain free assistance in resolving a dispute between the Participant and the Organizer, using the assistance of a district (municipal) consumer ombudsman or a social organization whose statutory tasks include consumer protection (e.g. the Consumer Federation, the Association of Polish Consumers);
    b). submit your complaint via the EU ODR online platform, available at: http://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/.

    § 8 PERSONAL DATA
  1. The controller of the Participants’ personal data is the Competition Organizer (hereinafter referred to as the “Organizer” or “Administrator”), which will collect personal data on a voluntary basis and process them on the terms and for the purposes consistent with the consents granted by the Participant in the form of accepting the Competition Rules.
  2. Personal data will be processed by the Organizer for the following purposes and scope:
    a). participate in the Competition, including to the extent necessary to conduct it in accordance with these Regulations, select the Winners, announce the Winners and deliver the Prizes, as well as to comply with the Administrator's legal obligations imposed by generally applicable law, including in particular tax/accounting obligations in connection with the Competition. For this purpose, the following data are processed: first name and last name, e-mail address, and in the case of the winner, additionally, data provided for the purpose of collecting the Prizes – pursuant to Art. 6, paragraph 1, letters b) and c) of the GDPR;
    b). establishing, pursuing, and enforcing claims, as well as defending against claims in court and other proceedings, including before enforcement authorities. Personal data provided by the Competition Participant and other data necessary to prove the existence of a claim or resulting from a legal requirement, court order, or other legal procedure are processed – pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR – i.e. processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the controller or by a third party, where the legitimate interest pursued by the controller is the establishment, pursuit, and defense of such claims;
    c). In order to process complaints, grievances and requests and to answer questions, the data provided in complaints, grievances and requests are processed, as well as to answer questions submitted in any other form, as well as data regarding the cases that gave rise to the complaint, grievance or request and data contained in the documents attached to the complaints, grievances and requests – pursuant to Article 6 paragraph 1 letter b) – performance of the contract and f) GDPR – i.e. processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the controller or by a third party, where the legitimate interest pursued by the controller is the need to ensure continuous, secure and uninterrupted operation of the business.  
  3. For the purpose of conducting the Competition and handling complaints, the Organizer will process only the following personal data of the Winner, which will be used to issue the Prizes and to fulfill tax obligations (if applicable): a. first name; b. last name; c. telephone number; d. e-mail address; e. delivery address of the Prize, data relating to complaints, claims and requests.
  4. Personal data will be processed for the time necessary to conduct the Competition, and after that time for the period necessary to fulfill the obligations imposed by law, including the limitation period for any claims.
  5. Participants have the right to request access to, rectification, erasure, or restriction of processing of their personal data, as well as the right to object to processing, and the right to data portability. Requesting erasure or restriction of processing, as well as objecting to data processing, constitutes the Participant's withdrawal from the Contest, including the forfeiture of the right to the Prize, if awarded.
  6. The recipients of the Participant's personal data will be entities to which the Organizer is obliged to transfer data under applicable law (including the relevant tax authorities), entities providing IT, accounting, courier or postal services, and consulting services to the Organizer.
  7. Providing personal data is voluntary, but failure to provide data will prevent participation in the Competition.
  8. In the course of processing the Participant's personal data, there will be no automated decision-making, including profiling.
  9. The Participant's personal data will not be transferred to third countries (i.e. outside the European Economic Area) or to international organisations, excluding the cross-border nature of the Internet.
  10. Personal data will be processed for the period necessary to participate in the Competition, including the selection of Winners and the awarding of Prizes.
  11. Personal data will be deleted in the following cases: when the Participant whose data is being processed requests their deletion or withdraws the consent given. 
  12. Some data, including e-mail address, name and surname, may be stored for the limitation period resulting from the provisions of generally applicable law or the period required by separate regulations (such as accounting regulations) - data processed for evidentiary purposes, handling complaints, grievances, claims and for accounting purposes.
  13. Under the provisions of the GDPR, the Competition Participant has the right to: 
    a). request access to your personal data;
    b). request the rectification of your personal data; 
    c). request the deletion of your personal data (so-called "right to be forgotten");
    d). request to limit the processing of personal data;
    e). object to the processing of personal data;
    f). requests for the transfer of personal data;
    g). the right to withdraw consent.
  14. Additionally, Participants have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority – each Participant, if the processing of their personal data violates the GDPR, has the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, place of work, or place of alleged infringement. In Poland, the supervisory authority under the GDPR is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (PUODO).
  15. In order to exercise the rights referred to above, the Participant submits his/her request to the Organizer's address.


    §
    9 COPYRIGHT

    1. By adding a Task, the Participant grants the Organizer a free, non-exclusive license, without time, quantity or territorial limits, along with the right to grant sublicenses, to the submitted photo in the following fields of use: 
      a) the right to make a digital recording of works, 
      b) introducing works into circulation on the Internet, 
      c) the right to enter works into computer memory and into own databases, 
      d) producing copies of the work using a specific technique, including printing, reprographic, magnetic recording and digital techniques, 
      e) reproduction and distribution of the work (also on the Internet), including on any audiovisual medium, in particular on a magnetic medium and computer disk, as well as all types of media intended for digital recording, 
      f) the right to perform computer processing and introduce changes and modifications to works required by the specific nature of the Internet medium; 
      g) the right to publicly perform and broadcast, as well as make works publicly available on the Internet in such a way that everyone can have access to them at a place and time of their choice, regardless of the type and mode of operation of the device or application used for this purpose,
      h) any use of the work for the purpose of promotion, information and advertising of the Competition or the Organizer itself or entities associated with it, including in particular by publishing it on the websites, applications of the Organizer and in the social media of the Organizer and entities associated with it (including as a "repost") and using it in other publications of the Organizer or entities associated with it, 
      i) the right to create new versions and adaptations (translation, adaptation, rearrangement or any other changes), 
      j) the right to dispose of works and their adaptations and the right to make them available for use, including granting licenses,
      k) publication of the photo on the Organizer's website, 
      l) publication of the photo on the Organizer’s social media (in particular Facebook, Instagram), inclusion of the photo in promotional and information materials (printed and electronic).
    2. By granting the license referred to in paragraph 1 above, the Participant transfers to the Organizer the right, unlimited in territory and time, to authorize the exercise of dependent copyrights to the works, within the scope of the fields of exploitation specified in paragraph 1 above, in particular the right to authorize the creation of new versions, adaptations and updates, the use and disposal of such adaptations, and also authorizes the Organizer to exercise the personal copyrights of the creator of the work, including in particular the use of the works and their distribution without indicating the authorship of the creators.
    3. If new fields of exploitation arise, other than those specified in these Rules, the Participant agrees to immediately and freely transfer the copyright to the Organizer, including those fields of exploitation, in accordance with the terms set forth in this section. In such a situation, the Organizer will request the Participant to transfer the copyright to the extent requested, and the Participant will be obligated to immediately and freely transfer the copyright.
    4. The Participant undertakes that in the event that any proprietary or personal copyrights or dependent personal rights are vested in third parties, the Participant will cause all such third parties to immediately and without additional remuneration transfer their proprietary copyrights and dependent copyrights to the Organizer within the scope described above, and to grant the Organizer, immediately and without additional remuneration, all authorizations and permits to use and distribute proprietary copyrights, as well as personal rights and dependent rights, to a scope no smaller than the scope specified in the Regulations.
    5. The Participant guarantees that the persons referred to in paragraph 5, who are entitled to property and personal copyrights or any rights in relation to derivative works, will not raise any claims against the Organizer for infringement of their rights, in particular claims resulting from any changes, adaptations or alterations made by the Organizer to the competition slogan/photo.
    6. The Organizer has the right to keep copies of submitted photos in the archive and use them in future promotional materials, indicating the edition of the Competition from which they originate.

      §10 FINAL PROVISIONS

    1. The Regulations enter into force on August 8, 2025.
    2. Any doubts regarding the rules of the Competition, the provisions of its Regulations and interpretation shall be resolved by the Organizer.
    3. Polish law governs all legal relationships arising in connection with the organization of and participation in the Competition. In matters not covered by these Rules, the provisions of the Civil Code shall apply.
    4. Any disputes arising in connection with the organisation and participation in the Competition will be resolved by the court having jurisdiction over the registered office of the Organizer.
    5. The Organizer reserves the right to modify these Rules and Regulations, as well as to interrupt, suspend, or terminate the Competition early at any stage. Should any of these circumstances occur, the Organizer agrees to immediately publish the relevant information on the website. https://petrepublic.pl, with reasonable notice. The Organizer guarantees that any changes to the Rules will not infringe on the rights already acquired by Participants or compromise the conditions of participation in the Competition. In the event of a change to the Rules, after informing Participants of this fact, each Participant will have the right, without any negative consequences, to withdraw from further participation in the Competition.
    6. The Regulations are continuously available free of charge on the Organizer's website. https://petrepublic.pl.
    7. Minimum technical requirements to participate in the Competition:
      a). 
      a computer with Internet access, tablet or smartphone,
      b). access to e-mail.
    8. The public nature of the Internet and the use of services provided electronically may involve the risk of obtaining and modifying Participants' data by unauthorized persons, therefore Participants should use appropriate technical measures to minimize the above-mentioned risks, in particular, use antivirus programs and programs protecting the identity of Internet users.
